Wild Side Tokyo hits 17: an anniversary mashup of scene favorites.
The Show
Wild Side Tokyo anniversaries are always a marathon, not a sprint. This 17th celebration promises a relentless lineup, packing the legendary Shinjuku basement with the kind of raw energy and sweat you only get at ワイサイ. Expect a jubilant, slightly chaotic crowd ready to lose themselves until the very last note.
The Artists
This anniversary bill is a testament to ワイサイ's diverse but always energetic spirit. Expect the visceral punch of acts like Killer★Rock and TAste Kickin' Ash, likely balanced by the indie-pop charm of オレンジポップ and a solid array of soloists like 竹之下幸 and 仁平アキヒロ, who always bring their A-game to this stage. It's a true mixed bag of scene stalwarts and fresh faces, all ready to celebrate.
The Area
Shinjuku's a beast, but Wild Side Tokyo tucks you away in a quieter corner of Shinjuku 1-chome, just a short walk from the buzzing Shinjuku-sanchome station. Grab a ramen or a cheap drink at one of the countless izakayas before diving into the basement — this area perfectly blends urban grit with unexpected pockets of local charm. It’s where the real Shinjuku shows thrive, far from the tourist traps.
