MATSUDA SPECIAL
Moonstep unleashes a brutal lineup for a guaranteed sweat-drenched Saturday.
The Show
You know Moonstep doesn't mess around, and a 'Special' night means they're cranking it up to eleven. Expect the pit to be a swirling vortex from the jump, spilling sweat and energy right up to the stage. This isn't a sit-and-watch kind of gig; it's a full-body immersion in Tokyo's rawest sound.
The Artists
This lineup is a masterclass in aggressive sonics, starting with the unholy racket of TEST ERECT and the relentless grind of STARVINGMAN. Don't let ABALLERO POLKERS' name fool you; they'll bring the heat, while even the intriguing 'merci merci me' promises a unique twist amidst the chaos. With HOW and MEXICAN AGE rounding out the bill, expect a night of diverse yet uniformly intense punk rock.
The Area
Nakano is always a vibe, especially when you're making the pilgrimage to Moonstep. Grab a quick ramen at any of the dozens of spots near the station, or swing into a cheap izakaya for a quick highball before the doors open. It’s a classic Tokyo neighborhood that still feels lived-in and real, the perfect grimy backdrop for an explosive night of live music.
