Get gritty in Shinjuku: raw garage rock for the soul.

The Show

GBOX nights at Godz are a guaranteed dive into pure, unadulterated garage rock mayhem. Expect a raw, no-frills sound that'll rattle your bones and a crowd ready to lose themselves in the grit and noise. This is sweat-drenched catharsis, a true Shinjuku sonic gut-punch.

The Artists

The GBOX crew always pulls together a killer lineup of garage rock outfits, whether it’s fuzz-drenched psychedelic sounds or stripped-down, primal punk. Even with acts still under wraps, you know they'll bring the kind of urgent, unpolished energy that defines Tokyo's underground rock scene.

The Area

Kabukicho, especially as night falls, is a beast of its own – grab some late-night ramen or hit a cheap izakaya before diving into the neon chaos. Getting off at Shinjuku station and navigating the crowds is part of the ritual, a necessary plunge into the city's pulse before the music starts. This part of Shinjuku still holds onto that grimy, anything-goes vibe perfect for raw, loud live music that isn't afraid to get a little dirty.
