Schreckwurmer is the harsh noise solo project of Mozuyama, who also runs Earthdom in Shin-Okubo, one of Tokyo's most important venues for extreme and underground music. The name is German for 'terror worm.' Under this alias, Mozuyama delivers direct, uncompromising walls of harsh noise, performing at spaces like Earthdom and Ochiai Soup as part of events like Machine Parts Festival. The 'feat. Okada from Nikudorei' billing pairs Schreckwurmer with Yukimasa Okada, core vocalist of the legendary noisegrind unit Nikudorei (active since 1994). Okada is a living witness of the 90s Japanese grind scene, known for short, violent performances involving firebombs, lighter fluid, and general chaos. Together, the collaboration fuses Mozuyama's harsh electronics with Okada's unhinged vocal extremity. Schreckwurmer has releases documented on Discogs and has performed at venues across Tokyo's noise underground. The project also operates under the name Cracksteel and has ties to the October Revolution collective.
