Exitium of Nemesis
Three high schoolers from Kanagawa channeling first-wave Scandinavian black metal with zero polish and total conviction.
About
EXITIUM OF NEMESIS is a raw black metal band from Kanagawa, Japan, formed in late 2024 by three high school students: vocalist/guitarist Baphomet, bassist Halphas, and drummer Blaster. Within roughly eight months of the full lineup coming together, they had already tracked and released their debut album, The Devil's Eschatology, on their own Blackdeath Records imprint. The CD-R sold out almost immediately. Their sound draws directly from early Mayhem, Bathory, and Sodom â primitive, uncompromising, and steeped in esoteric filth. The compositions shift between raw black metal aggression, dungeon synth passages, and ambient interludes, creating what the band describes as 'a strange world guided by rawness and silence.' Their demo, Die Schreie der Hölle hallen durch den Abgrund in den Tiefen des edlen Schlosses, dropped in February 2025 and expanded the sonic palette further. The Devil's Eschatology also saw release through Zero Dimensional Records. Despite their age, these three are dead serious. Live performances reportedly invoke early Norwegian black metal theatrics. They are currently seeking an international label and working on a second full-length. In a scene where teenagers rarely commit this hard to the left-hand path, EXITIUM OF NEMESIS is a genuine anomaly worth tracking.
